Original authentic Thai in Thaitown Hollywood
Always my favourite place to get food in Los Angeles. I’ve even struggled to find better Thai food in Thailand itself!
The Pad See Ew is my all time favourite dish, especially when you add some vinegar from the peppers and some dried chilies too. The flavour is both savoury and sweet, something you need to have.
The steamed chicken is delicate and fragrant, which pairs beautifully with the stronger flavours of other dishes, like the legendary Tom Kha soup.
I’d recommend this to anyone, even if you’re not in the area you need to go! There is free parking outside, so you literally have 0 excuses not to go!

We’ve been here twice since we’ve moved into the area and we’re in love!
This place has a small parking lot but we’ve managed to find parking so far! I’d be prepared to park on the street since I don’t think we’re the norm haha
The first time we visited, I got the yellow curry with white rice and it was delicious! I like spice so I had a good kick to my dish. My fiance ordered the Rad Na and he really enjoyed it. He always adds sugar, chili and vinegar to this dish to bring out the flavor.
The latest time we had dinner here, I tried their Pad Thai and my fiance had their General Tso soup. His dish won that round! The egg noodles were cooked perfectly and the broth swimming with flavor! I actually ended up finishing his soup and I took the rest of my Pad Thai home haha. My fiance also ordered the Thai iced tea both times and loved it. It is pretty sweet so if you don’t enjoy sweet drinks then this isn’t the drink for you.
Overall, this place is great and there’s always people dining here. The wait for the food wasn’t terrible, although I did have to wait about 10-15 minutes for my Pad Thai… Not sure what was going on that night but I think it’s worth the wait! This place will definitely satisfy your Thai food cravings!

I had a coupon for uber eats so I was looking for something new to try. I ended up ordering from here and I’m so glad I did. The duck curry was perfect. I made a note to make it spicy and they added the perfect kick to what was already a super flavorful, creamy, delicious curry. There was plenty of duck and some pineapple chunks and basil and all the flavors and components all went together really well. I cheaped out and made my own rice at home and that was a good addition, I think eating it over rice is the way to go. This spot isn’t too far from where I live, so I will definitely be back for more of that curry.

This is our ‘go to’ Thai food restaurant in Thai town. We have been coming here for 10 years. It is like stepping back in to Thailand for us. Even the parking lot attendant/security guy is right out of Thailand.
If you are new to Thai food, I recommend the tried and true Pad Thai, Coconut soups, Tom Yum, curries and the Green Papaya salad with sticky rice. Also the Thai sweet iced tea with milk is a favorite.
As some have stated, the menu is quite large and a bit overwhelming if you were not used to all the different Thai foods. Best way to approach this, especially if you’re new to Thai foods, is to first decide what type of meat you want, and then what type of starch/sauce.
We almost always start out with fried fish cakes followed by fried noodles, Thai broccoli with crunchy pork belly, papaya salad, sticky rice, squid or mixed seafood salad with glass noodles. Sometimes we get the pork fried in garlic, fried tofu, Vegetables with mixed seafood, House fried rice, Crying tiger beef and the duck.
If we arrive here at lunchtime, we usually go with the Thai noodle soups. They have a great ‘blood broth’ That is very authentic.
Finally this restaurant has a wide selection of vegetarian dishes. I give it four stars as sometimes the service is a bit flaky. You will not always be greeted, the stuff we walk by you like you were not there. You are forced to flag down a waitress and ask for service. Then sometimes you don’t get utensils.

Although we’ve been here many times, it looks as if I’ve only checked in four times. Trust me…I’ve been here many, many times. I usually get #99 – Beef panang. But today I wanted to try their special stewed pork leg with chili and basil and pad see ew.
Man…I love spicy and I told her to make it spicy. My lips are burning, but a nice burn. The pork leg was soooo tender and soft. The flavors were bouncing around in my mouth. A combination of sweet, salty and spicy. The pad noodles were great too. Just the right amount of burn from the wok to add more flavor to the dish.
I love how this place is open until 230 am.

There are just so many choices for Thai food in Thai Town and everyone has their favorites. My personal favorite has got to be Sanamluang Cafe.
I’ve been here a few times and there are a few reasons this place is more than worth a try. Their portions are large and I love it. Some Thai restaurants give you an almost upsettingly small portion of food, but Sanamluang wants you to go home full! There is a handful of indoor seating but the outdoor seating is nice on a warm day or night. There is also free parking if you can snag a spot in the smaller lot. My favorite dish there is the pad see ew which you can find anywhere, but it is just done well here. Perfect amount of sweetness with crispy veggies and great noodles.
Ps. Be careful about choosing your spice level though, they are not fooling around.

The food was amazing! Service was prompt and the server was friendly. Restaurant is in a mini mall and has parking! In LA a restaurant with PARKING!
We had the chicken with yellow curry, pad Thai, egg rolls, and fried potstickers. And, seriously, it was authentic and excellently prepared. Prices were great.

Came here after a Friday night out since they are conveniently open past 2am. The service is quick and workers are very friendly. I ordered the Pad Thai and egg rolls and both were delicious and affordable. Shared with my bf and it came out to be under $20 before tip. Since it was so late at night, parking was not an issue at all although the lot is very small.

One of the first Thai restaurants I ever went to and one of the best. Their menu is one of the more unique ones in Thai town, I highly recommend it.
